Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

December 21st, 2007

On behalf of the stallholders I would like to thank all our customers for their support during 2007, and we look forward to seeing you again in the New Year. We hope you all have an enjoyable time with family and friends over the holiday season.Shrivenham Farmers’ Market will return on FRIDAY 18th JANUARY, after discussion with producers, it was felt that we would not have sufficient produce to offer you on the 4th, so we will return to our usual routine of 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from February.

We look forward to seeing you in 2008.

Kind regards

Suzanne Crafer, Market Manager

Cancelled Market - 20th July 2007

July 20th, 2007

I would like to apologise for the fact that we had to cancel today’s market - unfortunately our producers were either stranded by flooding or in some cases mopping up because of flooding and couldn’t get to the market. I had to take the decision to call off the market at very short notice. We will be back as usual in two weeks time, and let’s hope that the weather is with us. Please call me with any queries you have on 0800 980 4896.

Thank you for your continued support.

Suzanne, Market Manager

Ed Vaizey wears a Red Nose!

Wantage and Didcot MP Ed Vaizey will be holding his surgery at Shrivenham Memorial Hall at the market on Friday 16th March from 5.30 - 7pm. As part of Comic Relief Ed Vaizey has agreed to wear a red nose during his meeting with constituents for a donation to the fund raising event.

Market Manager Suzanne Crafer said “It is a great opportunity for our MP and locals to see the twice monthly market and we hope more will become regulars. Ed Vaizey is supportive of local produce for local people. At the same time, it is great that we can have some fun and help contribute to the wonderful work done by Comic Relief”

Happy New Year!

January 3rd, 2007

The Shrivenham Farmers’ Market team would like to wish all our customers a very happy and healthy New Year and we look forward to seeing you at the market during 2007.

Our first market of the New Year takes place this coming Friday the 5th January.

Some of our stallholders will be taking a break until February this year, namely Bow-in-the-Cloud Vineyard and Cape Cuisine (cakes) and Ceri’s Cheese will now attend on the first Friday of the month only.

Birthday Success!

November 9th, 2006

Our Birthday market held on November 3rd was an absolute success! Distinctly more busy than usual it was a vibrant and enjoyable evening.

Great thanks go to Candida Lycett Green (and her daughter and grand-daughter) for attending and signing copies of her books, to the Stallholders and to our customers for sticking with us and making our first year such a resounding success!

For those interested, a number of photos of the day can be seen in the gallery.
